Some of the key features of the Nokia E51 phone are:
Nokia Buys Mobile Advertising Firm
Nokia announced that it plans to acquire Enpocket, a mobile advertising firm based in Boston. Enpocket’s technology platform allows for mobile advertising campaign management and delivery across several formats including SMS, MMS and mobile Internet advertising. Nokia did not disclose the financial details of the deal, but it is seen as a move into the mobile advertising market, which is expected to become increasingly lucrative in the coming years as mobile companies develop Internet services.
“Effective interactive advertising on the mobile device can create tremendous value for the mobile industry while bringing new Internet services to people around the world,” said Enpocket president and CEO, Mike Baker, in a statement from Nokia.
“Nokia has already announced its intention to be a leading company in consumer Internet services and we believe that mobile advertising will be an important element in monetizing those services for our customers and partners,” said Tero Ojanperä, chief technology officer for Nokia in the same statement.

Nokia 6120 – Classic mobile
The 6120 Classic is a classic-looking Nokia finished with attractive chromed highlights (available in black, white and pink). It’s a slimline phone with a large screen, and an easy-to-use keypad and 5-way navigation key. Like the very popular 6300, it gives the impression of an old-fashioned Nokia (which is a good thing) as if the company has learned some lessons and is getting back to what it used to do so well – making great phones that do just what you want.Technorati Profile
Microsoft in competition with iphone
Microsoft said that it was “not unreasonable” to speculate that the company could introduce a smartphone based on its Zune digital music player, in direct competition with Apple’s iPhone.
Since Microsoft first announced its Zune digital music player, the idea of a converged Zune/smartphone product has been the topic of speculation. Initially the company responded that a Zune phone was definitely in the works, but then earlier this year CEO Steve Ballmer said that a Zune phone was not on the company’s planning table, but that it could add more music and gaming functions to its Windows Mobile platform.
Currently Microsoft’s mobile phone focus has been primarily on providing its platform, Window’s Mobile, to handset manufacturers, but the company said that, going forward, integrating device and software production might make sense.

Apple:Launching iPod video with a touch-control interface
Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPod lineup, including an iPod video with a touch-control interface, at a press conference on September 5, according to sources at Taiwan-based contract manufacturers. The new iPod video will also come with a wide-screen panel, high storage capacity and Wi-Fi connectivity, the sources indicated. In addition, the new iPod video is expected to be powered by NAND flash, instead of a hard disk drive (HDD).
Sony Ericssion T650i – New Design Route
Sony Ericsson has dubbed its latest device, the T650i, as a style icon. UK and Ireland marketing manager Ian Finn said the manufacturer was going down a ‘new design route’, as it’s known for its camera and music devices, rather than fashion handsets. ‘It is for the person who wants to make a statement with their phone,’ he said.
The device comes in stainless steel casing and has a scratch-proof mineral glass screen. It is also a 3G device with a 3.2 megapixel camera and comes with a desk stand, carry case and a 256MB memory stick.

Nokia Launchies two high end mobile N95 and N81
A glimpse at the two high-end phones
Let’s step back from the marketing spin and take a closer look at the two high-end models, the N95 and the N81.
The N81 has 3G and WLAN connectivity, an optional 8GB of microSD removable storage for up to 6,000 songs, a 2.4″ 320×240 display, Bluetooth 2.0 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an FM radio, all in a slide-phone form factor. One of the highlights of the N81 is its ability to play games in the landscape mode, thanks to two gaming buttons on the top of the screen. One of the newest features Nokia announced is an improved UI, which is available in this phone and works in a “pane-driven rotary manner on the screen.” Nokia also claimed that the N81, which is priced roughly at 360 euros, or about $586, is the lead mobile phone for its music and N-Gage services.
The revamped Symbian Nokia N95 features a 2.8″ 320×240 display and 8GB of built-in memory. Little changed in terms of additional features; Nokia kept the dual-slide function which reveals media playback controls on one end and a phone pad at the other, as well as its Bluetooth support, HSDPA and WAN connectivity, and 5-megapixel camera. In London, Nokia’s president and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo also displayed the phone’s ability to play video on a television by hooking it up to the big-screen using a TV-out cable. The N95 is priced at a sky-high 560 euros, or $764, somehow managing the impossible: making the iPhone look like a bargain.
Both phones will ship in the UK in October. The N95 is currently available in the UK through T-Mobile and Vodaphone, so we expect the newest models to be available at those outlets as well.

Nokia E90 Communicator Availability Setbacks
Nokia said that a defective component in the microphone has caused a shortage of the E90 Communicator, the handset maker’s flagship business phone. The company said that customers have complained about background noise during calls and that the interference was caused by a defective component in the microphone.
The E90 Communicator was first unveiled in February, and was scheduled to be widely available during the third quarter. The microphone issue, as well as some problems with the keyboard scratching the screen, has set back availability on the smartphone. Nokia did not say when the Communicator’s availability would be back on track.
